<般若心経 逐語訳 漢英混合文＞
仏説摩訶般若波羅蜜多心経 ”The Heart Sutra of the Perfection of Wisdom Proclaimed by the Buddha” （The Heart Sutra of Mahāprajñāpāramitā Proclaimed by the Buddha ＊proclaime:宣言する）

観自在菩薩行深般若波羅蜜多時 When Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva was deeply practicing the prajna paramita(the Perfection of Wisdom),
照見五蘊皆空 he perceived that all five aggregates are of emptiness.
度一切苦厄 He transcended all suffering and distress.
Avalokiteshvara: アヴァロウキティシュヴァラ (Av-a-lo-ki-ti-shva-ra)
Bodhisattva: ボウディサトヴァ (Bo-u-di-sat-va) ＝観自在菩薩

舎利子 色不異空空不異色 ”Shariputra, form is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from form.
色即是空空即是色 Form is exactly emptiness, emptiness is exactly form.
受想行識亦復如是 Perception, thought, action, and consciousness are also like this.
舎利子是諸法空相 – Sariputra, this is the empty nature of all phenomena that,
不生不滅 – not born, not dying,
不垢不浄 – not defiled, not pure, ナット デファイルド
不増不減 – not increasing, not decreasing.
是故空中無色 – Therefore, in emptiness, there is no form,
無受想行識 – no perception, thought, action, or consciousness.
無眼耳鼻舌身意 – No eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind,
無色声香味触法 – no color, sound, smell, taste, touch, or phenomena.
無眼界乃至無意識界 – No realm of sight, and so on up to no realm of consciousness.
無無明亦無無明尽 – No ignorance and also no end to ignorance,
乃至無老死亦無老死尽 – and so on up to no old age and death and no end to old age and death.
無苦集滅道 – No suffering, origination, cessation, path.
無智亦無得 – No wisdom and also no attainment.
以無所得故 – Because there’s nothing to attain.

菩提薩埵依般若波羅蜜多故
Bodhisattva relies on the Perfection of Wisdom, therefore
心無罣礙
the mind has no obstacles.
無罣礙故無有恐怖
Having no obstacles, therefore there is no fear.
遠離一切顛倒夢想究竟涅槃
Far apart from all perverted views, they finally reach Nirvana.
三世諸仏依般若波羅蜜多故
All Buddhas of the three times, by relying on the Perfection of Wisdom
得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提
Attain the Supreme and Perfect Enlightenment.

故知般若波羅蜜多
Therefore, know the Perfection of Wisdom.
是大神呪
It is the great divine mantra,
是大明呪
it is the great illuminating mantra,
是無上呪
it is the supreme mantra,
是無等等呪
it is the unequalled mantra.
能除一切苦
That can eliminate all suffering,
真実不虚
it is true and not false.
故説般若波羅蜜多呪
Therefore, I proclaim the mantra of the Perfection of Wisdom.

即説呪曰 I then proclaimed the mantra, saying:
羯諦羯諦波羅羯諦 ”Gate Gate Pāragate
波羅僧羯諦菩提薩婆訶 Pārasaṃgate Bodhi Svāhā”
般若心経 This concludes my Heart of the Perfection of Wisdom.”
